What it is
Ravana Falls Visit — the full experience
Ravana Falls is one of Sri Lanka's widest and most theatrical waterfalls, cascading in a broad curtain of white water 25 metres down a cliff face on the Ella–Wellawaya road, just 6 km from Ella town. The falls are steeped in the legend of the Ramayana epic: the cave behind the falls is said to be where the demon king Ravana concealed the princess Sita after abducting her from India, and the falls themselves are associated with Ravana's bathing rituals.
The volume and width of the falls — which spans the full face of a dramatic overhanging cliff — make it one of the most impressive roadside natural features in the highlands.
Shorta Tours arranges Ravana Falls Visit as part of a tailored private itinerary, providing expert guides, comfortable private transfers, and hand-picked operators to ensure a seamless and truly memorable experience.
