What it is
Diyaluma Falls Hike & Natural Pools — the full experience
Diyaluma Falls plunges 220 metres in a single drop — Sri Lanka's second-highest waterfall — and the hike to its summit reveals a series of tiered natural swimming pools that have been carved by millennia of water action into smooth rock, sitting at the top of the falls with views across the Uva Valley below. The ascent follows village paths and a rough jungle trail, taking approximately 1.
5–2 hours each way, with the pool complex at the summit providing a natural reward that is among the most beautiful natural features in Sri Lanka. Experienced hikers can navigate independently; a local guide is recommended for the less-obvious final approach to the pools.
Shorta Tours arranges Diyaluma Falls Hike & Natural Pools as part of a tailored private itinerary, providing expert guides, comfortable private transfers, and hand-picked operators to ensure a seamless and truly memorable experience.
